WBC #19 Ranked Arceo Battles Ex-champ Resendiz, March 4th

2/28 - World-ranked Luis “The Vampire” Arceo of Tijuana, Mexico, meets former World Boxing Council Fecarbox champion Leonardo Resendiz of Mexico City in the 10-round lightweight main event on the nationally and internationally televised “Guilty Fight Night” card presented by Guilty Boxing in association with Tecate Friday, March 4, at El Foro in Tijuana, Mexico.

The 26-year-old Arceo, ranked No. 19 by the WBC among lightweights, has a record of 18-1-2 with 12 knockouts. The 28-year-old Resendiz, the WBC Fecarbox super featherweight champion last year, lists a mark of 8-7 with five knockouts.

Guilty Boxing’s “Guilty Fight Night” telecasts are seen domestically on America One; in Europe, Africa and middle eastern countries on Fox Sports International; in Europe and Africa on BEN Television; and in the Caribbean on WCVI Super Station.

Guilty Boxing’s weekly cards are seen in almost 50 million households worldwide, making Guilty Productions one of the fastest-growing providers of boxing television programming in the world.

This is another in the ongoing series of “Guilty Fight Night” cards to be held in Tijuana. The innovative Guilty Boxing series was launched last May and has presented cards in Las Vegas, California and Arizona as well as Tijuana.

Also on the nine-bout card is an eight-round featherweight fight featuring Sergio Sanchez of Tijuana (16-15-6, 5 KOs) against Alex Ramirez of Cuidad Obregon, Mexico, (9-3-1, 6 KOs).

Six-round bouts include: light heavyweight Arturo Rivera of Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, (21-6-1, 16 KOs) against Ramiro Siordia of Ensenada, Mexico, (8-2, 6 KOs); lightweight Filito Young of Tijuana (0-0-1) against Pedro Espinoza of Ensenada (1-2-2, 1 KO); and super lightweight Pavel Miranda of Tijuana (2-0, 1 KO) against an opponent to be determined.

Four-round bouts include: featherweight Juan Carlos Burgos of Tijuana (2-0, 2 KOs) against Carlos Mancillas of Ensenada (2-0-1, 0 KOs); featherweight Jesus Carlos Sanchez of Tijuana (4-4, 3 KOs) against Azael Loera of Los Mochis, Mexico, (2-4-2, 1 KO); flyweight Manuel Roman of Los Angeles (4-0, 4 KOs) against an opponent to be determined; and mini-flyweight Antonio Villareal of Riverside, Calif., (1-1, 1 KO) against a foe to be announced.

Commentators for Guilty Boxing’s “Guilty Fight Night” telecasts are “The Colonel” Bob Sheridan and Benny Ricardo. Sheridan, a Boxing Hall of Fame inductee, has worked almost 800 world championship bouts on six continents during a career that has spanned more than three decades. Ricardo, for seven years a place kicker on four NFL teams, also is a veteran announcer and has covered the biggest events in the sports world, ranging from Super Bowls to World Cups.

The card starts at 7 p.m. (Pacific) with gates to El Foro opening at 6.
