Gatti Goes Welter, Damgaard Suffers His First Loss
SUN January 29, FRANK GONZALEZ - Jersey City's Arturo Gatti faced unbeaten Thomas Damgaard of Denmark Saturday night in Atlantic City and gave the fans another good show. This was the first time Damgaard fought outside of Europe and Arturo Gatti has to be the toughest opponent he ever faced. Damgaard's last opponent was Bruno Sakabunda, who had a record of 1-6. Gatti's last opponent was none other than possibly the best boxer in the sport, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was 34-0 going into the fight.
